Hello, I'm so glad that you decided to stop by!

My name is Alyssa. I grew up on a farm in a community that's about an hour outside of Vancouver, BC. This is how I fell in love with agriculture, farming, gardening & most importantly, horses. This is also where I met my husband - the man who brought me hay for my horses...that's a story for another day!

I love Jesus. I am a bookworm. Nature fills up my soul. Horses are my passion. I like to teach & encourage others.I believe in the power of community. My purpose is farming. I also enjoy writing. But do you know what I really love? GOOD FOOD! You can't have good food without a farmer - and without Trim Healthy Mama.

We currently live in our cozy, Whistler-style condo in Abbotsford, BC with our two black cats. I manage a boutique tack store and my husband works in the agriculture sector. Our dream is to own some land where we can homestead, raise our children up with a love of the Lord & a love of the land, to have horses, & farm.

We believe in the importance of farming, the high calling of family, the tenacious love of Jesus, and the joy of friendship.

Why the name, "Choose Lovely?" This comes from one of my favourite verses in the Bible, Philippians 4:8 which says,

"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable -- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy -- think about such things."
